Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This policy explains how UMRA TECH (“we”, “us” or “our”) handles information when you use Islamic Trivia, also known as IslamIQ, and islamictrivia.app. It covers account features and gameplay, including older versions of the app.
You can play supported solo modes as a guest. Signing in enables account features such as cloud progress, leaderboards and multiplayer. If you choose Google sign-in, we receive basic account information to authenticate you and create or maintain your player profile. You can manage your profile in the app and request account deletion.
1. Information we process
- Account and profile: your account identifier, email address, name or username, profile picture, country if provided, account preferences and authentication information. You can supply a profile picture from your camera or photo library when you choose that feature.
- Google sign-in: Google provides your account identifier, name, email address and profile photo, when available. Authentication tokens are used with Firebase Authentication to sign you in. We do not receive your Google password. The app does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google contacts, Calendar or Drive files.
- Gameplay: level progress, best scores, daily answers, streaks, selected answers, match and room participation, invitations, results and timestamps. Some information stays on your device; account features send relevant records to our services for syncing, scoring and multiplayer.
- Notifications and diagnostics: notification preferences and messaging registration tokens for supported notifications; app and device information, crash reports and error diagnostics to maintain reliability and investigate failures.
- Support: information you include in reports or messages to us. Our website also processes usage measurements such as page views, language, navigation and download-link clicks, and the hosting service processes technical requests.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, maintain player profiles, save and restore progress, process scores, display rankings, run battles and rooms, deliver enabled notifications, respond to support requests, prevent abuse and improve reliability. Account contact information may also be maintained in UMRA TECH’s contact-management systems for account administration and support. Signing in does not grant access to your device’s address book or Google contacts.
The website uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate usage and interaction measurements. Our configured custom events use fixed labels and language codes; they do not include your app account identifier, email address or free-text answers.
3. Visibility and sharing
Profile and competition information is used by features such as player search, leaderboards, invitations and match history. Your displayed name, picture, country, scores, activity and results may be visible to other players depending on the feature and app version. Older profile records may also make account email addresses accessible through the service. Profile preferences should not be treated as a guarantee that every stored profile field is private.
We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, databases, file storage, notifications, backend processing and crash reporting, and Vercel for website hosting and analytics. These providers process information to operate those services. Information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
We do not sell your personal information. See Google’s Privacy Policy, Firebase’s privacy information and Vercel’s Privacy Policy for information about these providers. App stores and external sites you open have their own policies.
4. Storage, retention and security
Guest progress and preferences are stored on your device. Signed-in features also store account and gameplay records in our cloud services. Records are retained while needed to provide those features, resolve support issues, protect the service or meet legal obligations. Removing the app does not itself delete a cloud account.
We use authentication and service access controls to protect information, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Deletion may take time to complete, and limited records may remain where needed for security or legal purposes or in provider backups until they expire under the provider’s retention processes.
5. Your choices and deletion
- Use guest play for supported solo features if you do not want to create an account. Online competition and cloud features require an internet connection and may require signing in.
- Review profile and notification preferences in the app. You can also change camera, photo and notification permissions in your device settings.
- Delete your account using the app’s account-deletion control. This initiates removal of the account and associated records; you may be asked to authenticate again. If your version does not offer that control, or you need help, email admin@umratech.com from your account email and identify Islamic Trivia. Do not send a password or authentication token.
- You can remove Google sign-in access through your Google Account connections. Revoking access does not, by itself, delete records already stored by Islamic Trivia.
- To remove guest data, clear the app’s data through your device settings or uninstall it. Device backups are controlled by your device or backup provider.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
6. Children
Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of account and online competition features. Do not include a child’s personal information in public player names or pictures. If you believe a child has provided personal information that should be removed, contact us so we can investigate and address the request.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, contact UMRA TECH at admin@umratech.com.
